1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GhListing.com — including the marketplace, business directory, hotel booking, flight search, and activities sections — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using the platform.
2. What We Do
GhListing.com is a free platform that provides: (a) a classifieds marketplace for buying and selling goods and services across Ghana; (b) a business directory where businesses can list their services and customers can discover them; (c) a hotel and accommodation search and booking referral service; (d) a flight price comparison tool; and (e) a tours and activities discovery and booking referral service. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers, and we act as a referral intermediary for hotel and activity bookings.
3. User Accounts
Users must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You may only maintain one account per person. Accounts found in violation of our policies may be suspended or permanently banned without notice.
4. Marketplace Posting Rules
The following are strictly prohibited in marketplace listings: illegal items or services, fake or misleading listings, duplicate advertisements, adult content, weapons or dangerous goods. Violations result in immediate listing removal and potential account ban.
5. Hotel & Accommodation Bookings
GhListing.com acts as a referral platform for hotel and accommodation bookings. When you click 'Check Availability' or book through our platform, you are directed to a third-party booking partner. GhListing.com is not responsible for the terms, pricing, availability, or quality of accommodations booked through third-party partners. Disputes regarding hotel bookings must be resolved directly with the accommodation provider or booking partner.
6. Flight Search
Flight prices displayed on GhListing.com are provided for informational and comparison purposes only. Prices are sourced from third-party providers and may change at any time. GhListing.com does not sell flights directly and is not responsible for flight bookings, cancellations, or changes. All flight bookings are completed on third-party airline or OTA websites.
7. Activities & Tours
Tours, activities, and experiences listed on GhListing.com are provided by third-party operators via our booking partners (including GetYourGuide and others) as well as directly by GhListing-curated operators. GhListing.com is not responsible for the conduct, safety, or quality of third-party activity operators. Always exercise judgment and follow our Safety Tips when booking any activity.
8. Business Directory
GhListing.com hosts a business directory where business owners can list their companies for free. Business listings are public and visible to all users. By listing your business, you confirm that the information provided — including business name, category, description, contact details, and address — is accurate and up to date. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to list the business and that the content does not infringe on any third party's rights. GhListing.com reserves the right to remove or hide any business listing that is found to be inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of these Terms. Business owners may claim an existing listing to verify ownership; claimed businesses are denoted with a 'Verified' badge.
9. Seller Responsibility
Marketplace sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of their listings. Sellers must fulfill agreed transactions and are responsible for completing sales safely. GhListing is not liable for failed or disputed transactions.
10. Buyer Responsibility
Buyers must verify all marketplace items in person before making payment. GhListing.com is not liable for any disputes arising from transactions between buyers and sellers. Always follow our Safety Tips for safe transactions.
11. Boosted Listings
Boost payments are non-refundable once a boost has been activated and the listing is live. If a listing is removed for policy violations, the associated boost fee is forfeited with no refund issued.
12. Affiliate Program
GhListing.com operates an affiliate program that allows registered users to earn commissions by referring new sellers to the platform. Affiliates earn GHS 2 for each referral who signs up through their unique referral link and publishes their first marketplace listing. A 'conversion' is defined as a referred user signing up AND listing their first item — sign-ups alone do not qualify. Self-referrals and fake accounts are strictly prohibited and will not count toward earnings. Affiliates who abuse the system may have their accounts suspended and earnings forfeited. The referral code is stored in the referred user's browser (via localStorage) and is automatically applied at sign-up; referral conversion is matched using the referred user's email address.
13. Affiliate Payouts & Mobile Money
Affiliate earnings are paid out monthly via Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Vodafone Cash, or AirtelTigo Money) to the phone number registered on the affiliate's account. The minimum payout threshold is GHS 10 (equivalent to 5 converted referrals). To receive a payout, the affiliate requests it from their dashboard; an admin then marks the payout as sent and the affiliate confirms receipt. If the affiliate does not confirm receipt within 48 hours, the payout is automatically confirmed by the system. The payout phone number is locked at the moment the payout request is made. GhListing.com is not responsible for payouts sent to an incorrect or inactive MoMo number registered by the affiliate.
14. Phone Number Changes (Affiliates)
Affiliates may change their registered payout Mobile Money number through a secure two-step verification process. A one-time password (OTP) is sent to both the current registered number and the requested new number. Both OTPs must be verified before the change is submitted to an admin for final approval. This process exists to protect affiliates from unauthorized changes to their payout destination. Phone change requests and their outcomes are recorded in our audit logs.
15. Referral Tracking
When a user visits GhListing.com through an affiliate referral link, the affiliate's referral code is stored in that user's browser using localStorage and persists across page visits until sign-up. On registration, the referral is recorded and linked to the affiliate. Conversion is verified when the referred user's email matches a newly created marketplace listing. Affiliates have no access to the personal data of their referrals beyond aggregate counts (total referrals, converted referrals) shown in their dashboard.
16. Content Moderation & Admin Actions
GhListing.com reserves the right to moderate all user-generated content on the platform, including marketplace listings, business directory entries, hotel and property listings, and user accounts. Authorized administrators may review, edit, reject, suspend, or delete listings and accounts that violate these Terms or platform policies. Administrative actions — including user and listing deletions, payout processing, and phone number changes — are recorded in audit logs for accountability. Administrators may invite and manage team members with role-based access (super admin, moderator, support agent), each with defined permissions.
17. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account by contacting support. Administrators may also delete user accounts and associated listings directly from the admin panel when required for policy enforcement. Deleting a user account removes the user's access to the platform; their previously published listings may remain on the platform unless individually removed.
18. Privacy
We collect minimal personal data necessary to operate the platform. Your listing information (name, phone, WhatsApp) is publicly visible to other users. Affiliate payout phone numbers and phone change verification data are kept private and visible only to the account owner and authorized admins. 19. Changes to Terms
GhListing.com reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
